Can a Tuhorse CS10 series submersible pump be set at inclined or horizontal position?

Can a Tuhorse CS10 series submersible pump be set at inclined or horizontal position?

The question and answer covers CS10-135/4, CS10-165/5 and CS10-190/6, CS10 series pump.

Customers often ask-- can I install a Tuhorse CS10 series deep well pump in inclined or horizontal position? Some of them use the pump in a cistern where water is pumped to very low while others use the pump in a shallow dig hole.

The Tuhorse CS10 series pump can be installed in vertical, inclined or horizontal position according to manufacturer's specification. However, as you continue reading this article, you may change your mind and to just set the pump in vertical instead.

CS10 series pump does not need to be completely submersed in water like the Tuhorse TH4 series does. Because of that, if you need to use the pump in less than a foot of water, you should still set the pump in vertical position. Installing a pump shroud and positioning the pump vertically can actually pump the water to the lowest level. The motor is in the center of the pump. As long as the water is over the section port, and you can ensure not to let air sucked into the pump by using a pump shroud, the motor will get enough cooling when water passing over the motor in the pump housing. In a case you have to position the pump other than vertical position, the pump will work as good as well.

If this pump is used in shallow water, like being installed in a shallow lake or dug hole, a basket or alike must be used to filter out sand, dirt. Sand and dirt is the worst killer for this pump.
